The CBS Interactive Search, Shopping, and New team is passionate about finding and implementing additional sources of traffic and revenue.
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Senior Product Manager to conceive and build products that will resonate with users for viral growth. You will work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and bring a passion for creating and evolving our products that bring huge additional profits and users to CBS Interactive.
Develop documentation, use cases, workflows, wire-frames, design requirements, product requirements, and other materials as needed to support design and development with strong focus on elegant, user-centric approaches to complex functionality
Collaborate with developers, designers, and editorial staff to conceive, implement and manage product features
Operate both independently and as part of a broader team; juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment
Immerse yourself in Organic and Paid distribution tactics and best practices
Identify and build new opportunities to drive user engagement and revenue
Drive new ideas and tests for inclusion in the product roadmap; keep a pulse on competitor sites and new features
Launch a music nostalgia site made for social distribution; collaborate with Editorial, Marketing, and Revenue teams to maximize user value
Improve two recently launched sites and add design components to improve user engagement
Evaluate market size for additional topics for niche sites
What you bring to the team:
10+ years of website development experience
Strong background in project, program, and product management required
Experience writing detailed Product Requirement Documents including tracking specs
Ability to multitask, pivot, and change focus when necessary; desire to "wear many hats" in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic, results-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal and (written and verbal) communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred
You might also have:
Experience in Social organic or paid distribution, managing Brand messaging
Experience in Web Analytics through tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc
