CBS Interactive is seeking an innovative experiential professional who will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of events and creative activations across the CBS Interactive portfolio of brands. The Sr. Marketing Manager will act as the event lead for various events and conferences—both Industry and Consumer facing. As part of the IDEA team at CBSi, this person will be responsible for leading many event marketing plans, logistics, project deliverables, activities and marketing communications for a series of very diverse events throughout the year. The ideal candidate is a thorough event pro, analytical and technically capable marketing professional with a proven ability to work cross-functionally in the development and management of multi-dimensional experiential marketing programs. This person understands how to partner with internal clients to build high impact brand experiences that drive increased investment in CBS. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual looking to thrive in a dynamic environment - producing programs for world-class brands and demonstrating precise program management skills with key internal and external partners predominantly in the sales realm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle pre-event strategy, sponsorship development and planning that deliver on brand objectives and engage audience(s)

  • Execute events of medium to high level complexity aligned with guest journey and business objectives

  • Engage, lead, and develop positive and reciprocal relationships with internal teams such as Editorial, Video Production, Growth & Engagement, Sales and Integrated Marketing teams and other various internal and external organizations

  • Strong Logistics & Operations skills and the ability to manage team members on all related event logistics including: AV, catering, badges, ground transportation, vendor management and other support services, as needed.

  • Work with fellow IDEA team members and cross-functional teams in growing programs that support brand and sales goals


What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 + years experience in event marketing management in advertising agency, media, product marketing

  • Must be able to work with multiple teams in different locations paired with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with building productive teams with adept skills in developing talent

  • Be a thoughtful and engaged collaborator who will chip in to a positive team environment and have an interest in helping to develop creative new services, processes and approaches to build and sustain a best-in-class event experiences

  • Have the motivation to work with multiple personality types, build relationships, resolve service related conflicts; think fast on your feet and stay calm in a busy environment

You may also have:
