As Supervising Producer for CBS This Morning, you will work closely with the Executive Producer, Sr. Broadcast Producer, and overnight producers to develop and shape the morning broadcast. Utilizing your strong editorial/ news judgment, and considerable managerial experience, you will help to guide all aspects of production overnight.

As our ideal candidate you will have managed a news team & on-air correspondents, will have sharp editorial judgement, and have a demonstrated ability to synergize a traditional news broadcast with a great digital platform.


  • Collaborate with Executive Producer, Talent, & Sr. Broadcast Producer to ensure a clear, focused & forward-looking editorial vision

  • Manage all aspects of production including editorial, booking, live and remote broadcasting, digital and graphics.

  • Oversee segments, including the approval of packages & live segments.

  • Propose new program concepts across all platforms driving compelling and engaging storytelling which furthers the CBS This Morning brand

  • Handle rundown stacking and launching of breaking news stories in the late hours of the evening/overnight


  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Television News Producer at a major broadcast network, cable or digital news company

  • Demonstrated ability to make editorial decisions under time pressure and oversee all aspects of production

  • Ability to recognize stories with a high potential of producing compelling television; deep knowledge of politics and current events

  • Exceptional understanding of broadcast and video production; experience with interactive/podcasts/digital projects is preferred.

  • Exceptional writing, organizational, time-management, and planning skills

  • Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require; Must be willing to work during overnight hours

  • In-depth understanding of social media and digital content strategy.
