DESCRIPTION:

The senior producer will work closely with the executive team to develop and shape 60 in 6, the new weekly program produced by 60 Minutes exclusively for the Quibi mobile platform.

The senior producer must be an experienced journalist and creative thinker who can oversee the day-to-day production and bring innovate ideas to the 60 Minutes style of storytelling, targeted to an audience consuming content on mobile devices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of production, including overseeing teams of correspondents and producers, coordinating schedules, assigning stories, approving budgets, reviewing scripts

  • executive producer and executive team throughout the editorial process to maintain rigorous standards, and to identify, develop and vet story ideas

  • Provide editorial and production guidance to teams during all phases of story development, production and editing

  • Identify and work with camera teams and editors to achieve a look that is optimal for the mobile platform but consistent with the 60 Minutes style

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have extensive journalism experience at a broadcast network, cable or digital news company

  • Management experience is necessary as well as strong organizational and verbal communication skills

  • Must be a strong writer with a keen understanding of broadcast and video production

  • Experience with interactive/digital content and original visual storytelling is ideal

  • A strong understanding of the new technology including camera equipment and editing styles being used for the mobile platform is preferred
