CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour cable home of CBS Sports, airs more than 400 live games annually, showcasing an array of college and professional sports, as well as in-depth studio shows, documentaries and original programs. CBS Sports Network also provides extensive shoulder programming around CBS Sports’ Championship events, including the Super Bowl, The Masters and PGA Championship.
CBS Sports Network is available across the country through local cable, video and telco providers including Verizon FiOS Channel 94 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 643 (1643 in HD) and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 221 and Dish Network Channel 158. The Production Manager will support both CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network Original Programming department.
Create and track monthly feature and original programming budgets.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with outside production companies, equipment rental houses, post-production facilities, and freelance crews.
Oversee select original programming shows from conception to completion.
Book crew travel including flights, hotels and rental cars. Prepay all expenses to company credit card.
Process freelance invoices and submit weekly staff payroll.
Hire crewmembers and serve as their contact between the production office and on-location set including but not limited to Directors of Photography, Lighting Directors, Grips, Gaffers, Audio, Hair, Make-up, and Production Assistants.
Partner with the legal team in executing freelance contracts and in obtaining film permits and releases.
Manage post-production process including booking edits, audio sweetening and color correct.
Create and distribute production guides for large production events.
On board new hires to ensure everything is ready for first day of employment (in partnership with HR).
Maintain departmental calendar.
Schedule departmental meetings.
Liaison with facilities and IT for departmental issues.
Coordinate office related projects.
Must be available for on-site travel for large production projects.
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Prior Production Management experience required.
Candidate must pay attention to detail, be able to handle stress and have the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of employees.
