Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing is looking for an energetic, creative candidate to fill the role of Brand Marketing Manager for our Little Simon and Simon Spotlight imprints. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will work on a wide range of bestselling and award-winning titles across categories and formats, including Angelina Ballerina, Daniel Tiger, PJ Masks, our Ready-to-Read leveled readers program, graphic novels, and more.

Specific duties include:

  • Develop and execute strategic, integrated marketing plans for assigned titles and major brands

  • Create marketing materials for assigned titles, including copy writing, coordination with ad/promo, routing, and distribution

  • Act as the point person with various licensors, managing established and new brand relationships and partnerships

  • Explore cross-partnership opportunities for licensed properties

  • Work closely with sales on the creation of sales materials and account promos for assigned titles

  • Collaborate with key in-house departments including:education and librarymarketing,digital marketing, sales, publicity, and editorial

  • Represent Simon & Schuster Children’sPublishing both in-house and out-of-house in author/agent meetings and at trade and consumer conventions


  • 4-5 years minimum in children’s marketing strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills required

  • Ability to work well independently as well as with a team

  • Knowledge of marketplace and trends

  • Deadline-driven, creative thinker
