Job Description (Narrative Summary):
We are looking for someone who can help us implement our vision off creating an advanced analytical services platform, which leverages internal and third party data to provide information and insights. A successful candidate should be comfortable working with a wide range of technologies, have a background in data intensive applications and extensive experience in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Leads the technical architecture and design for new Data platforms on GCP.
Analyzes data to gain insight into business outcomes and build solution to support decision-making
Build prototypes and Proofs-of-concept to validate ideas
Provide architecture and technology leadership across GCP in Big Data and Cloud Data processing technologies
Help transition from our current Data Analytics infrastructure to a high performance, scalable analytics platform on GCP
Modeling business processes for analysis and optimization
Design, Build and Maintain secure data infrastructure and processes on GCP
Design, Build and Maintain data structures and databases on GCP
Design, Build and Maintain data processing systems on GCP
Design, Build and Maintain data pipelines on GCP
Mapping business requirements to data representations on GCP
Interact with the project team members responsible for developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
Presents technical information in easily understood terms in both verbal and written form
Works closely with fellow IT staff and project management to document standards and procedures for the definition of reference architectures (architecture roadmap)
Interacts and works directly with customer team members on projects and support issues.
Facilitates communication upward and across project teams
8+ years’ experience in information technology in the data space
3+ years minimum of demonstrable experience in a technical leadership role
Strong Knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and Data Integration concepts.
Real time experience on GCP Data Engineering project implementations
Real time experience of Data migration projects from on-prem to cloud.
Expertise in the following GCP products - Big Query, Data Flow, Data Prep, Data Proc, Stackdriver, cloud functions, Airflow
Expertise in any of the following ETL/ELT tools - Talend, Mattilion
Strongly desired - Certifications on Data Engineer from Google
Desired - Exposure in Informatica Power center, Teradata
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Comfortable working with all project stakeholders (business users, architects, project managers, business analysts, developers, test analysts, production support team)Entertainment industry experience is strongly desired
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
