DESCRIPTION:

Creative Services Production Artist will ensure that CBS Creative Services’ print and digital designs meet high quality standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position manages creative projects to ensure that all art files strictly meet accuracy, quality, size, resolution specifications as well as any specific vendor requirements.

Assumes responsibilities during the final stages of development and prepares files for print or digital publication.

Design and layout under direction of Creative Staff

Technical knowledge, attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review graphics, layouts and fonts before projects are released

  • Finalize designs and pre-flight

  • Retouch images to improve quality both in print and digital formats

  • Color correction and cosmetic retouching

  • Manage pre-press process for print files

  • Follow deadlines to ensure timely publications

  • Archive images and graphics

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive hands-on art production work experience - minimum 5 years

  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, Word and Dreamweaver

  • Portfolio of completed projects

  • Proven work experience as a Production Artist, Graphic Designer or similar role

  • Solid knowledge of the printing process and pre-flighting tools

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and web tools

  • Additional qualifications in Graphic Design, Web and Interactive are beneficial
