CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Join the CBS Chicago sales team and sell WBBM TV CBS 2, CBSchicago.com, CBS O&O stations, CBSN Local and all CBS station web sites.
As a CBS Chicago Account Executive you will be responsible for growing existing accounts as well as developing new business partnerships. The Account Executive will be responsible for making sales calls and presentations to key decision makers on behalf of both WBBM CBS 2 and all CBS Owned and Operated Television Stations in an effort to increase revenue and market share. The Account Executive will be expected to develop and execute an action plan for each account with marketing solutions customized to meet their client's target audience.
Present CBS programming, Tent Pole events and CBS Digital opportunities to existing and new business targets including direct clients, agency buyers, planners and executives.
Grow revenue and increase share on existing accounts and successfully close new business.
Sell CBS content across all screens and platforms.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with market decision makers.
Provide top notch client service through maintenance of schedules and constant client communication.
Project and forecast activity on all accounts.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the local Chicago marketplace.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Must be effectively persuasive.
Must possess excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be results oriented.
Must have the ability work efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure environment.
PREFFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree/College Preferred
Must have at least 4+ years of media sales experience
Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Word, Strata, Wide Orbit is required.
