We are the 24/7 entertainment news digital arm of the long-running, Emmy Award-winning syndicated TV series Entertainment Tonight. ETonline has been the No. 1 producer of entertainment video online for more than 2 years straight, according to comScore, and is a top three entertainment news network. We are also preparing for the launch of an ET-branded streaming network in 2018.
We are looking for a fast-paced night shift editor (3PM-12AM) to cut news style packages. Includes scripts with heavy graphics and transitions. Packages may range from short 1 to 3 minutes to longer formats of up to fifteen minutes long.
Editing news-style stories using Avid/Premiere.
Light to heavy graphics work using Photoshop and After Effects (modifying/ creating lower thirds, quotes boxes, etc).
Addressing notes from producers and outputting revisions in a timely manner.
Enter metadata into the CMS (we will train you)
Upload and publish finished clips on our site
As we move forward in 2018, we are focusing on becoming more cohesive with our parent show, Entertainment Tonight. The style, pace, and look should closely resemble like the show. That said, candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver a finished product under pressure.
In 2018, CBSi plans to launch an ET-branded streaming network. ETonline staff will be deeply involved in developing, producing and distributing content for and from that platform.
What you bring to the team:
At least 2 years of professional video editing experience.
Proficient in Avid/Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects and other Adobe Creative Programs.
Experience editing online content is a plus but not a requirement.
Ability to work under tight deadlines
A good listener who is able to take and implement constructive criticism.
A high level of attention to detail is a must.
