DESCRIPTION:

WBZ is seeking a qualified Intern for our Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Paid Semester Internship Program. Learn the ropers and help build your resume in TV Broadcasting by getting hands on experience at our Boston station. Please apply online at cbsboston.com

Learn how a television news story develops, from event, to editorial decisions, to shooting, to writing, to editing, to air. Assist assignment editors, reporters, and producers in gathering news stories. This includes pre-interviewing, researching, pitching ideas and viewing/logging tapes. Days needed: weekdays, nights, weekends (varies).This is an educational program designed for college students who are interested in pursuing a career in journalism, and broadcasting. It will provide an opportunity for you to learn the operation of the department assigned to while, at the same time allow you to perform some of the job functions that are critical to the learning process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Students must be attending an accredited college, receive college credit and be in or entering their Junior or Senior year. Students majoring in communications or broadcasting are preferred.
