Our team is a diverse and agile group that effectively manages and grows online advertising revenue via programmatic, real-time bidding platforms. We work collaboratively across all business functions and brands and are continually looking to enhance our reach and develop processes in line with best-in-class online revenue monetization strategies.
This is a full-time role within CBS Interactive’s Revenue Operations and Ad Exchange group supporting the Tech, Games, and Entertainment properties including CNET, Gamespot, CBS.com, CBSNews.com, CBSSports.com, and many other websites. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Programmatic Marketing and works closely with operations, sales, product managers, engineers and leadership teams.
Assist in building reporting systems and forecasting tools to help us manage programmatic ad exchange revenue.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of fundamental analytical tools: Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
Help manage reporting requests from start to finish (gathering requirements, pulling data, compiling reporting, giving recommendations, and presenting findings).
Investigate site issues, explain traffic patterns, understand and articulate user behavior.
Help communicate findings and recommendations to decision makers at various levels throughout the organization.
Proactively work on initiatives that use data to drive the business forward.
Manage some of our programmatic marketing campaigns working with top DSPs and exchanges across desktop, mobile, and video.
Identify the best way to acquire users through bidding strategies.
Support the ad sales team with exchange related inventory requests.
Partner with a third-party vendor and create a new reporting interface for US and International businesses.
Study the online advertising, real-time bidding ecosystem & explain auction based dynamics on our sites.
Build a business case to introduce new ad product offerings or add demand partners onto our sites.
Forecast growth projections for new video, mobile, and social partnerships and ad initiatives.
What you bring to the team:
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, initiative, and time management skills.
0- 2 years’ experience in web analytics, media industry, RTB, or ad exchange industries preferred.
Enthusiasm and some experience manipulating and translating large data sets.
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to gather requirements from non-technical users to create solutions and explanations.
Strong detail-orientation with a penchant for data accuracy
You may also have--
Experience with database tools and SQL.
Experience with Tableau or Adobe Sitecatalyst.
BA/BS in statistics, economics, business, science, or a related field.
