The Customer Financial Services Claims Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of CFS reporting, working closely with the accounting department in Parsippany. This person is a working supervisor and will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting to corporate management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide supervision for CFS Claims Analysts and Correspondents

  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting

  • Oversee training, cross training and refresher programs for employees in the department

  • Assures that the performance of all individual employees is monitored and thorough feedback is given to ensure compliance with all standards and to recognize good performance

  • Conducts employee performance appraisals on a regular basis

  • Interviews prospective employees and recommends new hires

  • Review current reporting requirements and recommend changes

  • Maintains an excellent working knowledge of company policies and procedures

  • Maintain detailed processes, procedures and tracking of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and departmental compliance



Related Work Experience

  • 3 to 5 year’s experience in accounting and general GL knowledge

  • Previous supervisory or mentoring responsibilities preferred

Formal Education or Equivalent

  • Bachelors degree (BS/BA) in Finance, Accounting or Business from a four year accredited college or university preferred


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Excellent knowledge of policies and procedures

  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Suite

  • Strong credit skills, including a working knowledge of accounting and G/L procedures

  • Ability to comprehend and supervise very detail oriented work

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to prioritize and supervise high volume of activity

  • Excellent reconciliation skills
