DESCRIPTION:

CBS Radio is looking for an innovative, results oriented and passionate Senior Product Manager - Digital Audio, to own the product vision, strategy and marketing for our audio products including the Radio.com app and website, Carplay and Android Audio, Alexa skills and flash briefings, Podcasts and on-demand content, and 3rd party integrations with partners like TuneIn, Spotify and Amazon. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you’ll work closely with stakeholders including programming, sales, marketing, project management and business development, as well as interacting directly with the Executive leadership team to transform our audio platform to meet business goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for audio (music, sports, news, talk and podcasts), user experience, and delivering best-in-class products. This person has a track record of launching successful products that customers love and is an advocate for our users when meeting with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, roadmap

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and technical project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap

  • Define KPIs for new and existing products and features

  • Influence product roadmaps through data driven insights and market/customer intelligence

  • Optimize acquisition funnel through rigorous experimentation, analytics and A/B testing

  • Own the go-to-market plan and messaging strategy for both new and existing products

  • Develop the marketing strategy and manage the marketing and messaging implementation that drives engagement

  • Partner with key stakeholders to strategize new features, benefits and communications that drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention

  • Communicate marketing plans and strategy to senior leadership

  • Work with PR and Social Media to craft a press and communication strategy

  • Continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends

  • Be the expert on our customers, who they are and what segments we serve

  • Influence product roadmaps through data driven insights and market/customer intelligence

  • Manage product and technical relationships with audio distribution partners including TuneIn, Spotify, Amazon, Apple and Google

  • Manage product and technical relationships with vendors including Triton and Adswizz

QUALIFICATIONS:

'- Seasoned product leader with experience acquiring users, identifying and maximizing new channels and platforms, and building well-loved consumer web and mobile applications

  • Technically and analytically savvy, with knowledge about how products are built and are comfortable defining, querying, and interpreting your own data

  • Deep understanding of web applications, mobile, voice enabled platforms and/or innovative new product-platforms

  • Experience building iOS and Android user interfaces and mobile optimized experiences strongly preferred

  • Experience managing 3rd party relationships including key partners, developers, and platforms

  • Demonstrated understanding of messaging strategy, user experience and persuasive marketing techniques in driving engagement with new or existing features or benefits.

  • Excellent cross-functional project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent quantitative data analysis and critical-thinking skills

  • Passion for understanding customers and their behavior, particularly with regard to the audio and radio space

  • 3 to 5 years of product management experience in a medium-large media company

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
