  • Supervise day to day operation of the Accounts Payable Department and Legal Billing Group.

  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with vendors and departments within the organization

  • Perform monthly and year-end accounts payable closings, run required reports and reconcile accounts payable subledger to general ledger.

  • Supervise the payment of invoices, check requests and expense reports and check for accuracy and approvals and insure compliance with company policies.

  • Review and maintain vendor master file.

  • Prepare and issue 1099s forms to independent contractors and report to IRS.

  • Work with internal and external auditors, as well as Sox Compliance team.

  • Review and maintain up to date policies and procedures for accounts payable staff.


  • CPA license

  • BS/MS in Accounting

  • 5-7 years of experience at a "Big 4" or large accounting firm or a similar mix of Public/Private experience.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and how to apply them

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under tight deadlines

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
