DESCRIPTION:

CBS Studios International is seeking a transactional attorney to serve as Director, Business Affairs, to be based in Los Angeles. This attorney will be responsible for providing business and legal affairs services with respect to all aspects of the division’s international business operations.

The attorney will be responsible for all due diligence and document review required to support the senior attorneys in the drafting and negotiation of complex agreements, including all forms of Television licensing, Digital and New Media distribution. The attorney will form part of the legal department based in Los Angeles and will report to a Senior Vice President.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a transactional lawyer

  • Prior experience in a law firm required

  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills

  • Entertainment and Digital / New Media experience a plus

  • Must be able to work independently, and to assess and minimize legal risks with good business judgment in a fast-paced environment
